Within the last few weeks, I had posted a question asking how to download and decompress Ventoy onto a flash drive.  Unfortunately, I did not save or copy that information.   The response was thorough with screenshots for clarity.  I would like someone to help me locate that response, or post the information a second time.  Thank you for your help.

Ventoy2Disk.sh   -i  /dev/sdX ... does it have to be the whole disk? Is there a way to make/specify the partitions myself?

Because, if I could Ventoy2Disk.sh  -i  /dev/sdXn (like sda4), well, I wouldn't have to use a whole disk for it, right?  

Now, if this could be done, it would have very interesting possibilities, not just for Ventoy, but for the future of Linux distributions in general , so please tell me it can be done

    I found this error, when I clicked on Installed button. I repluged USB sometimes, but the problem remained. So, I noticed that when the error occurs, it means the USB partition is not activated. So, I have to format it, and activate it. After formatting and activating the problem is solved. I follow the link to format and active the USB, so hope it will help you.

According to "Ventoy Disk Layout In MBR" (https://ventoy.net/en/doc_disk_layout.html) it is possible to reserve extra disk space at the bottom of the device for an extra 1/2 partition(s).

如题，可否在安装时自己设定分区？比如我要用一个已经分区好的硬盘做启动盘，目前会把整个盘格式化掉。我的理解是，只要安装到第一个uefi能识别的fat或exfat分区就行，另外加上mbr，这样还是能保证mbr和uefi双引导的。

一不小心，新版的点成安装了，直接把U盘格了。

能不能检测U盘，如果已经安装了，多弹出几次确认再安装。

记得以前有一个U盘软件，格U盘前，会弹出5次确认。
