The dev of Easy Barry Kauler recently tried to work with Easy and Ventoy to see if he could figure out the incompatibility, but he couldn't.

I like using Ventoy to boot linux distro/s live, and I've posted here in the past about getting earlier Easy to work w/ Ventoy which was once possible by increasing the size of the Easy .img file using truncate.

According to the official documentation, the gfxmode variable in grub2 can:
"The resolution may be specified as a sequence of one or more modes, separated by commas (‘,’) or semicolons (‘;’); each will be tried in turn until one is found. Each mode should be either ‘auto’, ‘widthxheight’, or ‘widthxheightxdepth’."
In ventory, this works fine if in the file ventoy.json manually write, for example:

Let me tell you mines with their reasons:

- gparted-live-os - in offline environment you will need gparted GUI which is not pre-installed inside other ISO files of mine Ventoy USB.

- fedora - my daily OS

- ventoy-live - in case install ventoy to other USB's on-the-fly.

- mx linux - it has proprietary apps (like VLC...). in case any offline environment...

- ubuntu - ubuntu's market share is big. in case any app has only support on ubuntu.

- windows 11 and 10

I'm experiencing some issues booting Ventoy menu on some PC with UEFI boot. In place of the menu, it appears the error you can see in the picture below.
If I disable UEFI and enable Legacy, Ventoy menu boots correctly.

I tried installing Ventoy both with MBR and GPT and with all file system configurations.
I tried Ventoy on about ten pc and this error occurred on about half of it.

What could it be the reason?

Hello,
I created a .vhd with Virtualbox (200GB fixed size), installed linux mint on it and vtoyboot, and now I want to boot it from local file. I set up a 16GB USB drive with Ventoy and put the .vlnk.vhd in there but when I boot into Ventoy it gives me a "no iso file found" error. I also tried F2 and browsing to the .vhd file but it doesnt come up.
I also tried booting the linux mint iso file following the same procedure, and it worked, so I guess there must be something wrong with the .vhd file?
Does anyone have a clue on how I can get it working?
