Ventoy Linux GUI
(04-02-2022, 03:13 AM)trymeout Wrote: Linux GUI is amazing, packaging it as an AppImage would be cleaner and easier to use, will be portable and will work on any distro. balenaEtcher which is an alternative to Ventoy packages their linux app as an AppImage.

I use about a dozen of AppImages. I can control where they are placed (in a shared folder for other users) and how much storage and where they took it. All them works in all my Linux (openSUSE and MXLinux mainly). Some of them are much better packaged than other (only some of them are auto-updated, that is another advantage of AppImages). Even Blender (a complex application) have an AppImage version ... that says much about flexibility of AppImages.
