 grub2 entry ventoy
#4
Grub2 v2.12 has been present in the wild for "awhile".

V2.12 supports NTFS compressed partitions. Advantage: one can double the amount of ISOs a partition can house which has obvious benefits across the board.

Current (and past) Ventoy releases have not upgraded GRUB2 to allow users to take advantage of this NTFS compression use ability for its Ventoy ISO partition #1. If the partition is compressed, Ventoy cant list contents.

Can Ventoy development produce either an updated version OR a 'beta' test Ventoy version based on GRUB2 v2.12? ... Please.

===> @longpanda and anyone.

P.S. Past versions of GRUB2 and Ventoy do not have the ability to use NTFS compressed...before GRUB2 v2.12
Quote:GRUB v2.12 can read a compressed NTFS file system, as indicated in the GNU GRUB Manual 2.12.
Smile Happy to learn how to ...
