It won't show it as an option for UEFI in the boot selection prompt. It only shows BIOS and will boot the BIOS version of Ventoy. I re-installed Ventoy on the drive, changed USB ports, no dice. Plugged my Ventoy drive into another system, shows UEFI option and boots.
Write a uefi image to a flash drive, pop flash drive in, shows it as an option of UEFI..
I'm not sure what the deal is with Supermicro Servers... it appears it does not like Ventoy, even though it allowed me to boot it via UEFI in the past.. I'm thinking the BIOS update I did now removed that functionality.
Maybe something about secure boot.
So update your Ventoy to the latest release and enable secure boot support option.
The BIOS settings have Secure Boot disabled. CSM is enabled though, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
This system booted Ventoy via UEFI before... but after BIOS update refuses to. I use the F12 button on startup to give me the boot selection prompt, the UEFI option for the Sabrent drive (my Ventoy drive) no longer appears, where it did before. However, I write any type of UEFI OS image to a flash drive using Rufus or Etcher, it reads them just fine and shows UEFI option in the boot prompt. It's strange Ventoy worked just fine before booting UEFI, as you can see in the screenshots... my original issue was getting pfSense to mount on the system.. but now the system doesn't want to boot Ventoy via UEFI, just BIOS.
