Solved Is it possible to view other files instead of just ISO, img .......?
#1
Good morning, I have a request, if possible.
On my Ventoy USB drive I use a folder structure, for example:

Code:
/ISO/Windows
/ISO/Linux
and so on.
I also created a folder called Misc Software, where I keep Windows executable programs, video guides, DOCX documents, and much more.
I would like to know if it is possible to view its contents when booting the USB drive with Ventoy.
Please note: I only mean viewing the files, not running them. I am aware that I can view the contents simply by opening the Misc Software folder, but to do that I need an operating system to be running.
So, if I need to check what the above-mentioned folder contains, I can’t do it directly from Ventoy.
I would like to know if there is a procedure to do this; otherwise, thank you anyway for reading this far.
Thank you.

Ventoy is only a bootloader (grub2) environment, so  you can only view a simple txt file contents.

When you in Ventoy main menu, press to enter grub2 cmd, and use cat xxx to view the file contents.
(Take the attachment for exmple)

I guess @EtaBeta means what files are there in perticular folder. Basically list the files in perticular folder.

Good morning everyone,
thank you very much for your replies and for all the help!
I managed to navigate from GRUB, find the correct folder, and list the programs inside it. That said, since I have an ISO folder with several subfolders (five in my case), and one of them is called Software_Vari, which contains applications, text files, and other content, for me as a beginner it’s not that easy to move around using only DOS/BASIC-style commands from the GRUB console. Navigating this way is not very simple if you’re not familiar with this kind of environment. So, the easiest solution for me is to boot a Linux ISO (or another live system) and directly browse the folders as you normally would in Linux or even Windows, which is much more convenient and readable.

Thanks again for the help and for your patience. Have a great day!
