Made my own Windows 10 ISO with an autoanswer file but it won't boot

So just as the title says, I built an ISO with an autoanswer file. But it won't boot in the ventoy USB. So I made it into its own USB with Rufus and it boots and does what I need it to. Why won't it work on the Ventoy USB?

I was thinking that maybe it is some kind of checksum thing that Ventoy might do or maybe the fact that I used WinISO to do the adding of the autoanswer file.

The ISO must be bootable. Rufus will add missing files.

Test the ISO file with a VM (e.g. WMWare/VirtualBox) firstly.
Connect the ISO file to the CD/DVD of the VM and boot it to see whether it can boot OK.

To say something off topic, you don't need to make a custom ISO file with unattended answer file. You can use Ventoy's auto install plugin and injection plugin.

The autoanswer was the easiest way that I currently know how to get what i need. Will look into these, thanks.

So is there a step by step tutorial somewhere? I really like the idea of the plugins and stuff, but all of this seems to involve editing json. I am technical, but I also don't have any experience with json.

I would like to setup a VenToy with 1 windows 10 and 1 windows 11 ISO that i can use an auto answer type system to quickly change between setting up windows on one client's computer vs another client's computer. Is there some YouTube tutes on this stuff?

You don't need to edit json manually. In the download there is a ventoyplugson.exe file (and .\ventoy\plugson.tar.xz)
Find the extracted files and run the .exe (or the linux .sh file).

Just run the exe and you will get a browser based GUI where you can easily add XML entries.
