For the Wish List:
- Create an ISO from your favorite OS with Refracta Snapshot (refracta.org)
- Pass the ISO to an UFTP Multicast Server (nuxref.com)
- Wake up all clients with Wake-On-LAN
- Ventoy then boots on all clients (with Ventoy installed on HDD/SSD) with the UFTPD Client Deamon listening for the UFTP Multicast Server
(or power the clients on manually, and select the "Start UFTPD Multicast Client" option from the Ventoy Menu)
- The ISO is sent from the UFTP Multicast Server to the Ventoy exFAT partition (#1) on the clients HDD/SSD.
- All clients are powered down after receiving the ISO
command syntax uftp: https://uftp-multicast.sourceforge.net/server_usage.txt
command syntax uftpd: https://uftp-multicast.sourceforge.net/client_usage.txt
downloads: https://nuxref.com/nuxref-repository/
.RPM packagages of UFTP/UFTPD are available for Fedora (not CentOS) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (EL-packages),
so Fedora (free) would be the way to go for Ventoy?
How nice a solution that would be ....
