Last part of this article contains info on a .grubfm file.
This is a grub2 file which you may be able to use with Ventoy and the F6 external grub2 menu feature?

the reading of this post gave me an idea to get 'my ouwn defaults', that is keyboard azerty be and display setting, into ' Parted Magic ' inside ' Ventoy '-stick.
with Rufus I made a persistence - file, then I integrated ' 099-saved-session.sqfm ' into the iso on Ventoy with any burn.
It isn't persistence but I have got my ' own local default '-settings. and it is working fine even on my iodd ST400 an Zalmman ZM-VE350!
It isn't as difficult as making a ' grub2 file ', which is beyond my knowledge for the moment. I'm going to read 'E2B #4: UEFI-multiboot using the a1ive grub2 File Manager', perhaps I will be enlightened.

thxs for helping me out. grtz wivy
