It's something about the original grub2 theme.

It doesn't help. Even you export VTOY_HOTKEY_TIP here. There will be a blank bar blinking sometimes when you press F1 quickly many times.

About the "grub2" theme.

Can you tell me which part of the theme is causing the problem and flickering?
