Solved Two boot menus BIOS and UEFI
#11
Respected, Steve2926 and longpanda.

When using the parameter "VTOY_SECONDARY_BOOT_MENU": "1", an additional menu is loaded, I do not want it to be displayed, and I set the parameter "VTOY_SECONDARY_BOOT_MENU": "0", but then Memtest86+_64_6.00.Beta programs are not loaded.3 and GoldMemory_7.98_Pro. If I enable the parameter "VTOY_SECONDARY_BOOT_MENU": "1" , then the programs load and run.

How, with the "VTOY_SECONDARY_BOOT_MENU" parameter enabled: "0, to make the programs work?  Is it possible to automatically assign the Boot in memdisk mode parameter to these programs in ventoy.json ?  Or there is another way to solve this problem.

I already gave you the answer
https://ventoy.net/en/doc_secondary_boot_menu.html
https://ventoy.net/en/doc_name_identifier.html

you can add vtmemdisk if you want the file to be loaded into memory always

or use ventoy.json file and automemdisk

What should we do if we have an ISO which only runs in UEFI64 but will not run in legacy mode?
Good question. I'm using both "control" and "control_uefi" with "VTOY_DEFAULT_SEARCH_ROOT". I have an iso that shows up in BIOS mode, but it only boots in UEFI. Is there a way around this?

Maybe a special Id like VTUEFIBOOT similar to the ones used to avoid the secondary boot menu could be a solution

Place UEFI only Isos in /UEFI/ and set root folder. for efi to same folder
For legacy Isos, put in/legacy/ folder and set root to same folder
If some Isos work in both, make two copies of that iso

Or, simply rename your Isos e.g. ubuntux86_uefi-only.iso or use folder names like /iso/uefi-only/ and /iso/legacy-only/

All of them work for both. Only one doesn't, so I would need duplication for all the others which is a waste of space and something I want to avoid. I set that one  iso to VTMEMDISK which gives me a grub message when trying to boot it that says it's for UEFI only before returning to the Ventoy menu. I can live with that.

When booting your iso directly using QEMU tester in Legacy bios mode, does it boot ok?

I don't have the QEMU tester tool. I will have to find it to try.

The message says that your iso only supports booting in UEFI mode, cannot boot in Legacy bios
