Acronis iso will not load from Ventoy USB
#1
Nothing like making a Ventoy USB and finding out when you really need it, it does not work.  Probably something I did wrong.  When I selected Acronis it went to another menu with Boot normally at the top and that booted Windows 11, which is what I am trying to wipe.  I have Acronis on a disc, but am not sure how to install it to a USB and have it work.  Looking for some ideas to try.

I have the Acronis True Image bootable ISO - made by a standard Acronis TI install in Windows - on a Ventoy USB along with a whole bunch of other bootable iso and the acronis boots just fine.

Did you solve your Acronis problem? Not sure what else to advise.

No, my HP Zbook will not recognize the USB drive that Ventoy is installed on.  Is there anyway I have the Ventoy software incorrectly installed?  I need to try it on another PC to see if it is recognized.

I would try Ventoy on a different USB disk too.

Tried the Ventoy USB on another PC and it would not recognize it either.  I will try installing on a different USB.  Could someone direct me to a page that lists the configuration settings for Ventoy?

I found out that I have yet another SanDisk 3.0 USB that has a problem. This is the second one within a year. I have been a loyal SanDisk user, but it is time to change. Apparently there are small wires that break in the 3.0 USB sticks that make them useless in 3.0 ports. So that was the problem that the PC did not recognize it.
I installed Ventoy on another USB and tried it and got a security error and it would not load. I think it is time to abort the Ventoy idea. I have spent far too much time trying to get it to work.
Thanks for trying to help.

Have you tried turning off Secure Boot in the BIOS? Sometimes that appears necessary.

Also FWIIW, I have been using Acronis for around 20 years and recently got sick of the subscription cost and other issues associated with the program. So now I am using Hasleo Backup Suite Free. The boot rescue iso for HBS works just fine on my Ventoy disk - boots up etc.
