Live Injection makes all the files owned by the user and 777 - LexPendragon - 12-10-2024

When I use the Live Injector for an OpenSUSE Live USB, it successfully injects the files, but they are all owned by the user and set to 777 permissions.  Some of the files I was trying to inject are are configurations in /etc/ as well as a replacement passwd and sudoers, which do not work properly when they're universally readable.

Is there a way to inject the files with the existing file permissions from the sysroot directory?
