The file downloaded to create the media is MediaCreationTool22H2.exe. When I run the tool, I select to create ISO for use on another computer. The file name downloaded is Windows.ISO. I have tried selecting BOTH x86 and x64 architecture as well as just x64. Neither ISO works. I prefer x64 only as the file sizes are smaller and I can't remember ever actually installing and using x86 for Win10. RE: Windows 10 Installation issues - bbertrand007 - 07-11-2023 Two things come to mind: 1) Your firmware settings should be set to boot from the drive that will NORMALLY be booted, not the USB Flash drive. When you boot to install, your machine will have a hot key to press to force the firmware to present a boot menu - a one time override; select the target Ventoy flash drive. 2) When you get your Firmware Boot Menu, if your Firmware is UEFI, you'll have two choices - booting Ventoy in UEFI mode or BIOS Compatibility mode. Ventoy in turn boots the ISO in the same mode you booted it in. So Windows install will boot in either UEFI or BIOS mode. If UEFI, the drive you are installing Windows onto must be partitioned GPT. If BIOS, the drive must be partitioned MBR. You can erase the drive entirely when you start the Windows install. RE: Windows 10 Installation issues - nguyen ha thai trong - 07-12-2023 You should record a clip of the problem you are having to understand better and take measures to solve it RE: Windows 10 Installation issues - chusco - 08-29-2023 ytengo el mismo problema que mucho.. cuando intento instalar la iso de cualquier windows la version que sea.. en un portatil con un portatil con cuad core... tiene mas de 12 años.. cuando selecciono modo normal.. me aparece un curso a la izquierda parpadeando.. y no hace nada mas.. espero durante mas de 1 hora.. entiendo que no funciona... si lo pongo en el modo de debajo que hay del modo boot me aparece un porcentaje llego hasta la seccion de particiones.. pero me dice que no la puedo instalar en la particion seccionada.. ya hice lo del disk part eliminado las particiones y dejando... que sea la particion gpt.. y sigue sin funcionar .. y en modo compativiliad no encuentra el disco duro por que dice que no tiene el controla alguna solucion al problema.... gracias RE: Windows 10 Installation issues - nguyen ha thai trong - 08-30-2023 Try pressing the i key or the key combination ctrl+i and then pressing the enter key RE: Windows 10 Installation issues - TadesaeN - 04-17-2024 Dealing with Windows 10 installation issues can be a real headache. One thing you might wanna try is creating a bootable USB drive with the Windows 10 installation files on it. Sometimes, installing from a USB drive can bypass any issues you might be having with your current installation method. Another thing to check is your system requirements. Make sure your hardware meets the minimum requirements for Windows 10. If you're not sure, a quick Google search should give you the info you need. RE: Windows 10 Installation issues - Grigo_R0 - 04-26-2024 I had a similar problem on an older laptop. The trouble was with the partition tables. Rebuilding the MBR using Command Prompt sorted things out for me. If you don't know how to do it, this guide shows the steps. RE: Windows 10 Installation issues - Foh - 05-26-2024 I have the same problem as mentioned here. (Acer Travelmate 7730) I have XP on SSD-0, partition-1 an I have Win10-32bit on SSD-1, partition-1 Dualboot works fine. Now I wanted to install Win10-64bit from Ventoy-Stick to replace win10-32bit. It does not work. Allways the some error message when I choose the partition-1: "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files." I also plugged out SSD-0 and plugged SSD-1 to solt-0 (Main). So I have only the SSD-0 with NTFS primary formatted partition-1 and logical partition-2. The problem stays the same. I have now burned the ISO to DVD-DL and then the installation was running with no Problems. RE: Windows 10 Installation issues - Steve2926 - 05-27-2024 How are you booting to Ventoy? BIOS or EFI? The Ventoy menu version string will tell you. |
