Resolution issue on Windows/WinPE ISO in UEFI mode - pete - 08-18-2025

Hi,

Even after latest releases (1.1.05 & 1.1.06) issue with Windows/WinPE ISOs resolution still exists.
Even Windows installers have that issue too, although it can be somehow avoided.

Personally, I would like Macrium resque ISO to work which is impossible because of wrong resolution.
I've tried F5 tools, changing resolution or text mode but none of them resolves the problem.

I hope for a fixing because Ventoy is a perfect solution for installing whatever unless you're a Windows user... Sad

Only UEFI. There is no Legacy BIOS on my laptop (Asus ExpertBook B1503CVA)

Actually, it works fine only on "Normal Boot".
On "Wim Boot", wrong resolution still exists.

Unfortunately, issue has returned on both "Normal" and "Wim" boot with 1.1.12 release.

I've downgraded to 1.1.11 and it works fine again (on Normal boot).

In F5--->Lock the resolution when UEFI boot Windows/WinPE
There are some options, you can test to find that which option can solve your problem.

In F5--->Lock the resolution when UEFI boot Windows/WinPE, when "Highest" option is chosen works fine but only on Normal Boot.
On Wim Boot there is wrong resolution again.

So for the moment, I've returned to 1.1.11 on which there is no need of F5 (on Normal Boot).

These options can not meet all machines.
So you can use "VTOY_WIN_UEFI_RES_LOCK": "1" option in GlobalControl plugin.

Hi,

I cannot see such an option on browser :

Also, I don't know if tabs (control_legacy, control_uefi etc.) should work, because here they do nothing.
